Learning model
VendAce's core learning modes form a ladder of difficulty. Each rung adds one new cognitive demand - what to say before how to say it, guided before unaided, practice before measurement. Meet a demand you are not ready for and you get overload; meet one that fits where you are and every mode feels hard but possible.
The core ladder
Seven rungs. One new demand each time.
Read this as rising difficulty, not a fixed playlist. Learning mode Replay is the lightest demand; learning mode Examination is the hardest. Which modes you meet for a given skill - and in what mix - depends on where you already are.
- 01
Learning modeReplay
See what elite looks like. One decision per turn, instant explanation, and the conversation always continues optimally.
- 02
Learning modePath
Choices gain consequences. The ranking is hidden, the conversation branches, and you can now lose.
- 03
Learning modeRecall
You speak for the first time. The model answer is given - then hidden - so delivery comes from memory and understanding.
- 04
Learning modeCoaching
No guidance when you speak. Failed responses are retried with escalating, specific help.
- 05
Learning modeCritique
You become the coach: find and explain the flaws in a deliberately suboptimal rep performance.
- 06
Learning modePerformance
A full conversation to win or lose, with limited hints and no time pressure - the readiness check.
- 07
Learning modeExamination
No hints, no pausing, seconds to respond. The only mode that moves that skill's ability score.
Beyond the ladder
Skill-specific modes for judgements the ladder assumes.
Some judgements are too specific for the general ladder, so they get modes of their own - grouped by the skill they belong to.
Shadowing never climbs a ladder like this.
